Condition Lens: Exc Serial Number: 208490 (PATT 8670)

The camera comes with non-Leica case, includes Leica Motor with box.

Stamped on Leica Motor box saying ‘PHOTOGRAPHIC LABORATORY EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT HMS EXCELLENT PORTSMOUTH’

HMS Excellent is a Stone Frigate Naval Base located in Portsmouth that is still in use today.

Please note, a plate has been riveted onto the top of the camera, we were not sure what was underneath, so we have removed the top plate to view it and it revealed that it has been cut away so we will never know.

Also includes original baseplate.
